Pokhara planning notes
A hotel checklist for before and after a trek
A useful stopover is about practical arrangements. Confirm these details directly with your hotel before you rely on them.

Confirm luggage arrangements
Ask whether the hotel will store bags while you are away, for how long, at what cost and with what collection arrangements. Do not infer storage from a lobby photograph or an old review. Keep the agreement with your booking notes.
Plan an early start
If you expect to leave before the usual breakfast time, ask about an early meal or packed option and its cost. Confirm the pickup point with both the hotel and your transport provider. Make your departure date and room checkout date clear.
Check the return-day details
Ask about laundry turnaround, hot water, the exact bed setup and whether your arrival time can be accommodated. Spa and pool facilities are useful to compare, but opening hours, treatment reservations and extra charges should be confirmed separately.
Leave room for a change of plan
Read the amendment and cancellation terms on your exact rate. A flexible-sounding property description is not the same thing as a refundable reservation. If your return date may change, ask what the hotel can accommodate before booking.
