Pokhara planning notes
Arriving in Pokhara: plan the last part first
Choose a hotel with a clear plan for reaching it. A little preparation matters especially when your base is above the lake.

Share the exact arrival point
Send the hotel the airport, bus arrival point or other location you are actually using, together with your expected arrival time. Ask for an itemised transfer quote where needed. A booking-site airport-transfer icon does not establish that a ride is free or already reserved.
Confirm the right entrance
Save the property name, address and its own arrival instructions. Similar names and inconsistent map pins can cause confusion. For Himalayan Front, use the hotel’s confirmed location on the Sarangkot approach instead of assuming every booking-site marker agrees.
Think beyond the first ride
If you are staying in Sarangkot or the foothills, consider how you will reach meals and activities outside the hotel. Ask about available transport and return arrangements. Treat transfer prices and journey times as date-specific details to confirm, not permanent facts.
Keep a compact arrival note
Before travelling, save your booking confirmation, the hotel’s current contact route and any agreed pickup instructions somewhere you can access offline. Check whether a late arrival needs prior notice and whether payment or a deposit is due at the property.
